About this product
The Big Agnes Tiger Wall 2 Carbon is a freestanding, two-person tent built around Easton carbon fiber poles and Dyneema fiber-based fabrics, combining ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene construction with welded seams that eliminate the need for seam tape. The result is a shelter that is 100 percent rainproof, highly tear-resistant, and dimensionally stable across temperature swings, resisting stretching and sagging. Two doors and two vestibules, each fitted with stormflaps on the zippers, give both occupants independent entry and exit, while the dry-entry door design keeps the interior dry during transitions. A single-pole architecture simplifies setup and takedown, and color-coded webbing with buckles further speeds the process. Structured foot-end corners open up usable space near the sleeping area, and an oversize ceiling pocket plus media pockets above the sleeping zone handle storage and cord routing. Precut, reflective guylines and tensioners come attached to the fly. Intended for experienced backcountry users, the tent benefits from use with a compatible footprint to protect the floor over time.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Big Agnes Tiger Wall 2 Carbon for its extraordinary weight (around 1 lb 11 oz), impressive weather resistance, and livable two-door, two-vestibule layout that punches well above its weight class. Expert testers highlight how well the Dyneema fly sheds rain and snow, and how the carbon fiber poles hold firm in wind. Setup is widely described as quick and intuitive. The most common and serious complaint is fragility: the ultra-thin Dyneema fabric is widely considered prone to tearing and puncturing, even during routine use, and a footprint is strongly recommended. The price (around $1,000) draws frequent criticism as hard to justify given the durability concerns. Some users also note the interior feels snug for two people and ventilation can be limited.
