About this product
The Hoka Speedgoat 6 GTX is a men's trail running shoe built for wet and muddy terrain, featuring a Gore-Tex Invisible Fit waterproof membrane that keeps the construction lighter and more flexible than traditional waterproof builds while still offering solid rain protection. The upper is made from 100% Recycled Polyester mesh, and the laces combine 70% Recycled Nylon with 30% Recycled Polyester, making the shoe fully vegan. Underfoot, a Vibram Megagrip outsole with Traction Lug geometry and 5mm lugs delivers confident grip on loose or slippery surfaces. A CMEVA midsole with a Late Stage MetaRocker provides lightweight, responsive cushioning, while a bolstered heel collar and protective toe rand add structure and durability on rugged trails. A molded EVA sockliner rounds out the fit. Buyers note the shoe tends to run small, so sizing up is worth considering. The Speedgoat 6 GTX carries an SKU of 1155150 and is available in the Stardust/Outer Orbit colorway.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Hoka Speedgoat 6 GTX for its outstanding Vibram MegaGrip traction on wet and technical terrain, reliable Gore-Tex waterproofing, and protective cushioning that holds up well on long trail runs and ultras. Stability and durability on rugged surfaces are frequently highlighted as strengths. The most common complaints center on the narrow, tapered toe box that some find cramped, a stiffer ride compared to the standard Speedgoat 6, a poorly designed tongue that can create pressure points, and reduced breathability inherent to the GTX membrane. A minority of users also report durability concerns and note the shoe is best suited to pure trail use rather than mixed road-to-trail running.
