About this product
The Smith I/O MAG XL in the Dawn Patrol frame with ChromaPop Sun Black lens is a large-fit ski goggle built for riders who want maximum field of view and optical clarity. The spherical Carbonic-x lens delivers distortion-free optics with solid impact resistance, while ChromaPop technology enhances contrast and natural color rendering for sharper terrain reading. Visible light transmission sits at 12 percent, making the Sun Black lens well suited to bright conditions. A 5X anti-fog inner lens coating works alongside the ventilation system to maintain a clear view, and the three-layer DriWix face foam wicks moisture for added comfort. Lens changes are handled by the MAG magnetic system, which makes swapping quick and tool-free. The goggle is OTG compatible and accepts an optical docking system insert for prescription wearers. A QuickFit strap adjustment and silicone-backed ultra-wide strap keep the fit secure, and the Responsive Fit frame conforms to different face shapes. The package includes a bonus ChromaPop Storm Blue Sensor Mirror lens for low-light sessions and a microfiber bag with a lens sleeve.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Smith I/O Mag XL for its ChromaPop lens quality, calling it remarkably crisp and clear with excellent color fidelity and on-snow contrast, particularly on bright bluebird days with the Sun Black lens. The extra-large spherical, near-frameless design earns repeated compliments for its expansive field of view and distortion-free optics. The magnetic MAG lens-swap system is widely appreciated as fast and doable even with ski gloves on, and the triple-layer foam is noted for all-day comfort. The most common criticisms are the premium price point and fit limitations: some users with glasses find the XL does not accommodate eyewear as expected, and a few note the lens-release mechanism has a learning curve before it feels intuitive.
