About this product
The Oboz Jeannette is a women's casual sneaker designed for sidewalk use and light day hiking, named in honor of Jeannette Rankin, the first woman elected to the US Congress from Montana. The lace-up upper combines LWG-certified leather, sourced from a gold-rated tannery evaluated on energy use, waste production, and water treatment, with quick-drying Repreve recycled synthetic textiles. Construction follows a durable board-lasted method, and the removable O FIT Insole uses dual-density Bloom Algae foam, which carries a reduced carbon footprint compared to conventional foams. Poron shock-absorbing pods placed at the heel and forefoot cushion high-impact zones, while a supportive EVA midsole provides everyday structure. The shoe is not waterproof and is manufactured in Vietnam. Available in Charcoal, it reflects a commitment to sustainability through its use of Leather Working Group certified leather and recycled materials throughout the build.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Oboz Jeannette for its out-of-the-box comfort, noting that many wearers do not need a break-in period before taking them on hikes or long walks. The roomy toe box earns frequent compliments, particularly from women who struggle to find shoes that accommodate wider feet. The shoe is also noted for being lightweight, versatile for all-day wear, and offering good value. The most common complaint centers on the elastic no-tie laces, which many reviewers find inadequate, especially for narrow heels, with several recommending swapping them for conventional laces. A secondary criticism is that the O-Fit insole arch support is softer and less substantial than what Oboz offers in its hiking boot lineup.
