About this product

The Osprey Packs Kresta 30L is a women's backcountry ski and snowboard pack built for technical objectives where organization and quick access to safety gear are non-negotiable. At 30 liters and measuring 21.3 x 12.2 x 10.2 inches, it offers enough volume for extra layers, nutrition, and a full day's worth of equipment without unnecessary bulk. The dedicated avalanche safety compartment keeps a beacon, probe, and shovel separated from the main contents and protected by weatherproof construction, so wet conditions do not compromise dry gear stored elsewhere. Osprey's LightWire suspension system distributes the load evenly across the back, while contoured EVA foam shoulder straps maintain comfort over long skin tracks and sustained vertical gain. Ski carry is handled through both A-frame and diagonal configurations, and splitboarders benefit from vertical and horizontal board carry options. An insulated hydration sleeve prevents water from freezing during cold tours. The shell is constructed from 100% recycled high tenacity nylon with a PFC-free DWR finish, available in Pine Leaf Green.

What people are saying

Reviewers consistently praise the Osprey Kresta 30 for its women-specific fit, noting that the contoured hip belt and adjustable shoulder straps keep loads balanced and comfortable throughout full ski days. The pack's feature set earns wide acclaim, particularly the dedicated avalanche safety compartment, back-panel access that keeps snow out of the main compartment, flexible ski and snowboard carry options (A-frame or diagonal), a stowable helmet net, and an insulated hydration sleeve. Durability and Osprey's lifetime warranty are frequently cited as added confidence boosters. The most common criticism is that the pack runs heavier than comparable 30L ski packs, and some reviewers note that strapping a helmet to the net blocks access to the goggle pocket. A few users also flag that the 30L capacity is best suited to single-day tours and falls short for overnight trips.
