The Big Agnes Battle Mountain 2 is a 4-season, freestanding mountaineering tent designed in collaboration with Chhiring Dorje Sherpa, a Big Agnes Ambassador with 17 Everest summits. Built for high-alpine conditions, it sleeps two and offers 31 square feet of floor area with a 42-inch peak height, making it genuinely livable at altitude. The rainfly uses Dominico undyed ripstop polyester with silicone treatment and a 1,200 mm waterproof polyurethane coating, plus an additional face coating that boosts tear strength by 20 to 25 percent over standard fabrics and improves UV resistance. The floor is nylon taffeta with a 10,000 mm waterproof polyurethane coating, and seams are fully sealed. Three DAC Featherlite NSL poles (9.6 and 10.25 mm diameter) form the structure. Ventilation comes from two fully closable fly vents, while storage is handled by two 3D bin pockets, two 3D wall pockets, two mesh wall pockets, and four mesh ceiling pockets. Packed weight is 6 lbs. 10 oz. (approximately 2,722 g) and packed size is 9 by 20 inches. Vestibule area totals 13.5 square feet across two vestibule options.
