About this product
The Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL1 Bikepack is a solo ultralight tent purpose-built for bikepacking, weighing 2 lb 5 oz (1.05 kg) on the trail and packing down to a compact 6 x 13.5 in (15 x 34 cm). Its fly and floor use a proprietary double ripstop mixed denier silicone-treated nylon with a 1200mm polyurethane waterproof coating, while solvent-free, PVC-free taped seams keep the interior dry in serious weather. The DAC Featherlite NSL pole system includes a shortened 12 in Shortstik Poleset sized specifically for handlebar, pannier, or saddlebag storage. A burly compression stuff sack with daisy-chain webbing attaches directly to a bike frame in multiple configurations. The proprietary TipLok Tent Buckle combines pole-tip capture, rainfly attachment, and tensioning into one fitting to simplify setup. Inside, 20 ft² (1.9 m²) of floor area and a 38 in (97 cm) peak height provide generous room for one sleeper, while a 9 ft² (0.8 m²) awning-style vestibule offers covered gear storage. A 3D interior shelf uses dead space above the feet, and exterior daisy-chain loops on the fly allow wet clothing and gear to dry overnight. A compatible bikepack footprint is sold separately.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Copper Spur HV UL1 Bikepack for delivering a surprisingly spacious, livable interior in a genuinely ultralight package. The freestanding double "Y" pole design earns particular acclaim, as it is the only tent in the Bikepack series to offer full freestanding capability, making setup easier on varied terrain. The bikepacking-specific stuff sack with daisy-chain webbing and shortened 12-inch pole segments are widely appreciated for fitting neatly onto handlebars or in saddlebags. The most common criticisms center on the steep price point, which many find hard to justify for a solo shelter, and concerns about fragile rainfly zippers that require careful handling over time. A few users also note the stuff sack attachment system could be more refined for real-world bikepacking use.
