About this product
The Devinci Troy Carbon 29 GX 12s is a full-suspension trail mountain bike built around a full carbon DMC-G frame with hidden pivots that keep the aesthetic clean while simplifying access for maintenance. The Split Pivot suspension design separates acceleration forces from braking forces, delivering responsive small-bump compliance alongside efficient pedaling. A trunnion-mounted metric rear shock pairs with a progressive leverage ratio that is also compatible with a coil shock. All frame sizes accommodate at least a standard 500ml bottle even with a piggyback shock installed. The updated 2023 geometry adds 15mm of reach and slackens the head angle by 1 degree for confident handling on technical terrain, while a steeper seat tube angle supports climbing efficiency. A Geo-Adjust flip chip at the base of the shock mount lets riders switch between Hi and Lo modes with minimal moving parts. The redesigned rear end is 9.5mm slimmer for improved clearance, and double-row, double-lip sealed linkage bearings promote precise, long-lasting suspension movement. A molded high-density polyurethane rock guard and chainstay protector add durability, and a threaded bottom bracket rounds out the frame spec. Drivetrain duties are handled by SRAM GX in a 12-speed configuration.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Devinci Troy Carbon 29 GX as a highly capable, do-it-all trail bike, highlighting its balanced geometry, superb suspension performance, and strong climbing efficiency. The Split Pivot rear suspension earns repeated compliments for delivering excellent traction and a plush yet supportive feel through rough terrain. The well-chosen component package, including the Fox fork and SRAM Code brakes, is frequently noted as a standout for the price. The most common criticisms are the bike's weight, which some feel undercuts the carbon frame's promise, and a lack of liveliness on flat terrain. A few reviewers also flag the frame's incompatibility with 170mm forks as a limitation for riders wanting more aggressive setups.
