About this product
The Rab Alpine 600 is a duck down sleeping bag designed for cold-temperature alpine use, balancing warmth, weight, and comfort in a tapered mummy shape. The shell is constructed from 100% woven nylon, specifically Pertex Quantum fabric with recycled nylon content, and the bag is hand-filled with down in Derbyshire, United Kingdom. A chevron baffle design on the upper torso reduces down migration and focuses warmth at the core, while trapezoidal boxwall construction with a differential cut maximizes loft throughout. The 3D shaped down-filled neck collar and a YKK three-quarter length main zip with a down-filled baffle work together to seal in heat. An angled foot box supports a natural sleeping posture. Additional details include a YKK zipped internal stash pocket, an anti-snag zip insert and internal zip guard, a zipped storage sack with a water-resistant base, and a drawcord stuff sack. Available in a left-zip configuration in Red Clay.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Rab Alpine 600 for its impressive warmth-to-weight ratio, excellent packability, and intuitive, well-made design. The Nikwax-treated hydrophobic down and Pertex Quantum shell earn repeated praise for handling damp conditions and condensation reliably. The chevron and trapezoidal baffle construction is highlighted for eliminating cold spots and keeping down evenly distributed. The anti-snag YKK zip, 3D neck collar, and internal pocket are called out as thoughtful practical touches. The most common criticism is weight: at around 1,050g, warm sleepers and ultralight-focused users find it heavier than ideal for summer or three-season use. Some reviewers also note that the 650 fill power duck down, while effective, is a lower grade than premium competitors, limiting the warmth-to-weight ceiling compared to higher fill power alternatives at a similar price.
