About this product

The Rab Arc Eco Jacket is a men's waterproof shell built around a 3-layer Pertex Shield Revolve construction made entirely from recycled polyester, a choice that lowers production impact and positions the jacket for end-of-life recycling. The 50D fabric carries a fluorocarbon-free DWR finish and is rated to 20,000mm hydrostatic head with 15,000 g/m2/24hr moisture vapor transmission, offering a solid balance of weather protection and breathability. Weighing 428 g (15.1 oz) in a size medium with a centre back length of 77 cm (30.3 in), it fits in a regular cut suited to active layering. All zippers are YKK AquaGuard, covering the front placket with an internal storm flap, two A-line chest pockets, and underarm pit zips for on-the-go ventilation. A fully adjustable mountain hood features a wired, laminated peak, while a fleece-lined chin guard, drawcord hem, and anti-snag hook-and-loop cuffs round out the weather-sealing details. Seams are fully sealed throughout.

What people are saying

Reviewers consistently praise the Rab Arc Eco Jacket for its strong sustainability credentials, being made from fully recycled and recyclable single-polymer Pertex Shield Revolve fabric with a fluorocarbon-free DWR. Its waterproofing and windproofing performance are widely considered impressive for the price, and the jacket earned recognition in outdoor awards for sustainability. Standout features highlighted across reviews include the well-designed adjustable hood, pit zips for ventilation, and chest pockets positioned to clear a pack's hip belt. Most reviewers also appreciate its versatility, finding it suitable for both technical hillwalking and everyday wear. The most common criticism is the relaxed, roomy fit that some find unflattering, though others note it allows easy layering. A recurring minor complaint is the lack of a two-way zipper on the main zip.
