About this product

The Santa Cruz Nomad X0/90 Exclusive is a carbon CC enduro mountain bike built around 170mm of VPP rear travel and a matching 170mm Fox 38 Float Factory fork with Grip X2 damper and 44mm rake. The Fox Float X2 Factory rear shock offers four-way adjustability, giving riders precise control over compression and rebound on steep, technical terrain. A mixed-wheel MX setup pairs a 29-inch front with a 27.5-inch rear, both wrapped in Continental Kryptotal tubeless tires (2.4-inch width) and mounted to Reserve 30 SL Alloy rims with DT Swiss 350 hubs. The SRAM X0 Eagle Transmission drivetrain runs a 32-tooth chainring against a 10-52t cassette across 12 speeds, with an Eagle 90 T-Type rear derailleur and trigger shifter designed to shift cleanly under load. SRAM Maven Silver hydraulic disc brakes with 200mm rotors front and rear handle stopping duties. A OneUp Components V3 dropper post provides 180mm of travel on a 31.6mm diameter, and the 800mm OneUp carbon handlebar features 8-degree backsweep and 35mm rise for confident positioning on aggressive descents.

What people are saying

Reviewers consistently praise the Santa Cruz Nomad X0/90 for its exceptional descending capability, with the VPP suspension and mullet wheel setup (29" front, 27.5" rear) delivering superb traction, composure, and confidence on steep, rough terrain. The comfortable, balanced cockpit position and adjustable flip-chip geometry are also frequently highlighted. The Glovebox in-frame storage and lifetime frame warranty are appreciated practical touches. The most common criticism is that the bike is not a strong climber, particularly on tight, technical singletrack ascents, where its long, slack geometry feels cumbersome. Reviewers also flag the high price point relative to comparable competitors, and some note that the aggressive stock tires add rolling resistance on climbs. Shock accessibility for on-the-fly tuning has been called out as a minor but genuine frustration.
