About this product
The Scarpa Boostic is an aggressive, high-asymmetry climbing shoe built for bouldering, indoor climbing, and sport and toprope routes that demand precise edging. Made in Italy, the unisex shoe features microsuede and synthetic uppers reinforced with ceramic in high-wear zones, while Alcantara fibres in the toe box conform to the shape of your foot over time. The PAF heel system distributes pressure evenly across the heel, reducing strain without compromising a secure fit. A curved 1mm Flexan midsole runs up the outside of the foot, offering a supportive yet sensitive platform on small footholds. The 3.5mm Vibram XS Edge outsole delivers reliable grip on narrow edges. Hook-and-loop closure keeps entry and removal quick, and the unlined leather and synthetic construction keeps weight to 470g. The fit runs small; most climbers downsize 1 to 1.5 sizes for a performance fit or 0.5 to 1 size for a comfort fit relative to their street shoe size.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Scarpa Boostic as an exceptional edging shoe, highlighting its highly asymmetric, downturned shape and stiff sole as ideal for technical face climbing, steep sport routes, and bouldering on thin crimps and small footholds. The half-sock inner lining and blended leather/synthetic upper earn repeated compliments for comfort relative to its aggressive performance profile, and the Velcro closure system is noted for delivering a locked-in, confident feel. The most common criticisms center on comfort trade-offs: the narrow, tapered toe box is painful for some foot shapes, the break-in period can be lengthy and uncomfortable, and the stiff heel makes heel hooks feel less intuitive. Reviewers also flag that the shoe is not well suited for smearing, crack climbing, or all-day moderate routes, and its premium price is frequently called out as a drawback. Toe hook performance is considered a weak point by several testers.
