About this product
The Scarpa Boostic is a unisex technical climbing shoe built for demanding face climbing where precise micro edging is the priority. Its FZC last is aggressively downturned and highly asymmetric, channeling power directly to the toe for maximum contact on small holds. The upper combines microsuede, ceramic, and Alcantara for a close, refined fit, while the curved Flexan 1.0 midsole delivers consistent underfoot support across long technical routes. A full-length Vibram XS Edge outsole at 3.5mm thickness provides the firm, grippy platform that edging performance depends on. The DTS-Tension active rand is designed to permanently maintain the shoe's original shape, preserving fit and performance over time. The PAF heel system enhances both comfort and heel hooking capability. Weighing just 235g (8.3oz) per half pair at size 41, the Boostic sits at the top of Scarpa's Specialized Performance category and is made in Italy.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Scarpa Boostic as an exceptional edging shoe for steep sport climbing and bouldering, highlighting its highly asymmetrical shape, aggressive downturn, and stiff midsole as key strengths for precision on thin crimps and small footholds. The Velcro closure earns credit for a locked-in, confidence-inspiring fit, and the blended leather and synthetic upper is noted for comfort relative to its performance tier. The shoe is also praised for durability and Italian craftsmanship. The most common criticisms center on discomfort during extended wear, with the narrow toe box and stiff construction making it painful to keep on between attempts. Reviewers also flag that the rubber can feel slick on smears, the heel is too stiff for sensitive heel hooks, and the price is high compared to competitors. It is widely considered a specialist tool for experienced climbers, not a versatile all-day shoe.
