The Trango Altus Crash Pad is a bouldering-focused landing mat built around a 5-inch triple-layer foam system that combines open- and closed-cell foams for reliable impact absorption. Unfolded, it measures 120 x 90 x 11cm, and its sandwich fold collapses to a manageable 91 x 67 x 22cm at a carry weight of 4.1kg. The 45-degree hinge creates a more seamless landing surface, reducing gaps where fingers or toes can catch. A 600-denier nylon cover handles rough approaches and repeated contact with rock, while reinforced corners, haul points, and four grab handles add durability where it counts. The fully adjustable carry system includes an oversized padded hip belt and load-stabilizing suspension to keep the pad steady on uneven terrain, with metal G-hooks and durable webbing hardware throughout. A modular design allows the optional Altus P'Add panel to expand the landing zone. The pad is constructed with 98% recycled materials, including Oeko-Tex certified fabrics and bluesign approved components.
