About this product
The Atomic Maven 86 C is a women's all-mountain ski built for intermediate to advanced riders who want a lightweight, versatile option across varied resort terrain. Its 86.5mm waist (at the 153cm reference length) strikes a practical balance between edge-to-edge quickness on hardpack and enough width for soft snow and mixed conditions. The ski is available in four lengths (147, 153, 159, and 165cm), with turn radii ranging from 13.7m to 16.9m depending on size. Construction follows a sandwich layup with a lightweight wood core, carbon fiber and fiberglass laminate under the OMatic Construction system, and a sintered base with steel edges. The rocker/camber/rocker Flow Profile, combined with tip taper, promotes intuitive handling in trees, bumps, and variable snow. Atomic's HRZN Tech tip expands surface area at the front for improved float and tracking in chop or softer conditions, while the raised tail adds maneuverability. The ski carries a limited 2-year manufacturer warranty and was developed with input from Atomic's women's ambassador program.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the 2026 Atomic Maven 86 C for its exceptional lightness, quick turn initiation, and all-mountain versatility. The carbon backbone and poplar wood core combination earns repeated credit for delivering a lively, energetic feel without added weight, making bumps, trees, and groomers feel effortless. The HRZN 3D tip is widely noted for improving float in soft snow and smoothing out variable conditions. Most sources agree it is an outstanding choice for intermediate to advanced women skiers who prioritize agility and ease of use. The most common criticism is that the lightweight, carbon-only build lacks the damping and high-speed stability of heavier metal-laminate skis, and expert or aggressive skiers pushing hard at speed may find it underwhelming compared to the more powerful CTI models in the Maven lineup.
