The Black Diamond Distance 8 Backpack is a women's-specific trail running and fastpacking pack built for efficiency and comfort at a remarkably low weight of 321 g (11.3 oz). Its 8-liter (488 cu in) capacity keeps things minimal without sacrificing organization. The body is constructed from a custom-developed Nylon 100d and PE 200d fabric with Dynex Ripstop, complemented by UHMWPE ripstop panels for added durability where it counts. The women's-specific harness uses Stitch-less Edge Taping Technology, which improves shoulder strap comfort and freedom of movement while contributing to overall weight reduction. Dedicated Z-Pole sleeves and on-the-go storage make trekking pole management straightforward on the move. Hydration needs are handled by two soft flask pockets on the shoulder straps (soft flasks sold separately), plus one zippered and two stretch shoulder strap pockets. Dual side compression straps help stabilize loads, and two side stash pockets alongside an internal zippered pocket with a key clip round out the storage options.
