About this product
The Burton Smalls is a youth snowboard built to help developing riders push their freestyle skills across a variety of terrain. Its true twin shape allows riding regular or switch with equal confidence, making it a natural fit for park sessions, powder days, and groomed runs alike. The PurePop Camber profile delivers a balanced blend of pop and playfulness, while the medium flex keeps the board responsive without sacrificing the loose, maneuverable feel young riders need to progress. Burton's Filet-O-Flex construction produces a soft yet stable ride with solid edge control, durability, and grip tuned specifically for lighter riders. The Channel mounting system is compatible with all major binding brands, offering flexibility when setting up a complete kit. Available in five lengths ranging from 125 cm to 142 cm, with corresponding effective edge lengths from 910 mm to 1070 mm, the Smalls scales well as a rider grows. A three-year warranty covers the board from the date of purchase.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Burton Smalls for its soft flex and impressive stability, making it a strong all-mountain option for young riders who have moved past the beginner stage. The Flat Top profile is widely noted for reducing edge catches and making park features like rails and boxes more approachable, while the twin shape earns credit for being equally comfortable regular or switch. Parents and young testers highlight that the board feels confidence-inspiring at speed. The most common criticism is the limited size range, with many parents wishing the line extended into larger lengths to accommodate fast-growing kids for more than one season. Some forum users also note that kids can outgrow the board quickly, making the value proposition a consideration.
