About this product
The Elan Ripstick 88 (2026) is an all-mountain ski designed for intermediate to expert skiers who want a lightweight, versatile option across groomed runs and variable snow conditions. Its Tubelite woodcore keeps the ski lively and responsive, while a laminate package combining carbon rods, unidirectional carbon, and flax fiber delivers stability, edge precision, and vibration damping in choppy or mixed snow. The Amphibio rocker/camber/rocker profile aids turn initiation while maintaining reliable edge hold, and SST sidewalls improve power transfer. The 88mm waist strikes a practical balance between carving quickness and off-piste adaptability, with turn radii ranging from 12.8m (154cm) to 17.8m (189cm) depending on length. A sintered base ensures durable, fast glide. Six lengths are available, from 154cm to 189cm, with tip-to-tail dimensions scaling accordingly. Construction follows a sandwich build, and the ski carries a limited two-year manufacturer warranty.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Elan Ripstick 88 (2026) for its exceptional versatility and approachability across ability levels. Its featherlight construction, effortless turn initiation, and quick edge-to-edge transitions are recurring highlights, with many noting it makes skiers feel more confident and capable on groomers, bumps, and mixed terrain. The 2026 update is credited with improved high-speed composure and firmer edge hold compared to prior versions. The most common criticism is that it has real limitations for heavier or more aggressive expert skiers, who may find it lacking in raw stability and power at speed. Deep powder performance is also flagged as a weak point, with reviewers noting the 88mm waist is best suited to frontside and groomed terrain rather than significant off-piste use.
