The Madshus Active Skin Skis with Bindings are designed for fitness and recreational classic skiing, combining a paulownia wood core with carbon reinforcement for a lightweight, stiff, and torsionally rigid build. The structural cap construction flexes underfoot while maintaining good torsional control, and the P-Tex 2000 base delivers fast, consistent glide. Grip comes from the integrated IntelliGrip skin, which eliminates the need for kick wax while still providing reliable traction on varied snow. The skis have a 43 mm waist width and a tapered sidecut profile measuring 44 to 43 to 42 mm across all lengths. At a packed weight of 1,150 g, they are genuinely light for a waxless ski with bindings included. An embedded RFID chip pairs with the Madshus Empower app for GPS-enabled workout tracking. The metal-edge-free construction keeps things simple and trail-focused, and the carbon wood core (SKU 6021-938) is manufactured to a cap construction standard suited to everyday training use.
