About this product

The Madshus Endurace Skate Skis are designed for fitness and recreational skate skiing, with a 177 cm length and a 44-44-43 mm tip-to-tail dimension profile suited to skiers in the 50 to 70 kg range. Built in Norway, the skis use an AstaraLite core that reduces overall weight while improving responsiveness during longer training sessions. A reinforced cap construction helps fine-tune camber and flex without sacrificing durability, and the race-inspired geometry with subtle sidecut supports stability across a range of speeds. The fluor-free base delivers solid glide performance while keeping environmental impact lower than traditional fluorinated alternatives. An RFID-enabled Empower technology connects the skis to compatible apps for workout tracking, wax recommendations, and instructional video content. The skis are wax-based (not waxless) and come with a mounting plate compatible with NNN-NIS bindings, though bindings are sold separately. No poles or bindings are included in the package.

What people are saying

Reviewers consistently praise the Madshus Endurace Skate for delivering strong performance at its price point, with expert testers repeatedly calling it "a lot of skis for the money" and noting a "nice balance of good glide and maneuverability." It earned recognition as one of the best cross-country skis of 2024 after being tested across a wide range of conditions. The lightweight AstaraLite core, stable camber, and race-inspired geometry are frequently highlighted for making the ski predictable, responsive, and easy to manage, especially for beginner to intermediate skiers. The most common criticism is that it sits two tiers below Madshus's top Redline series, meaning advanced or competitive skiers may find it lacking in outright speed and performance ceiling compared to higher-end options.
