The Mammut 8.0 Alpine Core Protect Dry Rope is an 8mm single-category climbing rope built for alpine climbing, mountaineering, trad climbing, and rock climbing. At 60 meters in length, it carries a UIAA fall rating of 5, an impact force of 9.8kN, a static elongation of 9%, and a dynamic elongation of 30%. A UIAA-certified dry treatment repels water and dirt, keeping absorption below 2% to maintain handling performance in wet and icy conditions, while also improving abrasion resistance on rough rock and mixed terrain. An additional aramid layer in the construction significantly boosts cut resistance against sharp rock and metal edges under load. The rope is double-certified for use as both a half rope and a twin rope, broadening its range of suitable climbing objectives. An abrasion-resistant center mark simplifies midpoint identification for safer rope management, and a tangle-free construction means the rope is ready to use straight from the package. Made in Czechia, it carries Bluesign certification for product sustainability.
