The Marker Griffon 13 ID is a freeride-oriented alpine ski binding built around the Triple Pivot Elite 3 toe piece, which uses a horizontally inserted spring and a 5-degree inclined sole plate to maximize energy absorption and reduce the risk of premature release. The large supporting surface at the toe optimizes power transmission under demanding conditions. The Inter Pivot 3 heel piece features a magnesium heel bracket that contributes to both power transfer and energy absorption, and the updated design improves step-in performance over previous generations. A moveable AFD (Anti Friction Device) gliding plate ensures clean, consistent release even when dirt, snow, or ice accumulates underfoot, and a metal Anti Ice Rail helps clear debris from the boot sole before entry. The Sole.ID system allows authorized retailers to configure the binding for adult boots ranging from ISO 5355 Alpine to ISO 9523 Touring soles via a height-adjustable AFD plate. Stand height is 24 mm, the binding is recommended for skiers weighing 80 pounds or more, and brake width should match the ski waist or extend no more than 15 mm beyond it. Priced at $209.99 CAD.
