About this product

The NEMO Equipment Dragonfly OSMO Bikepack 1P Tent is a three-season, one-person shelter built specifically for bikepacking, canoe touring, and other expeditions where pack size is critical. The rainfly is constructed from OSMO Ripstop with a 1500 mm waterproof rating, a PFAS-free, 100% recycled-yarn fabric that delivers four times better water repellency and three times less stretch when wet compared to conventional materials. The canopy combines 10D nylon ripstop with no-see-um mesh, including white panels for privacy and a black mesh top for stargazing. Minimum weight comes in at 948 g, with a packed weight of 1.21 kg and a compact packed size of 19.5 x 5.5 x 3 in (50 x 14 x 8 cm). The freestanding design uses ultralight DAC Featherlite NSL aluminum poles with shortened segments, and the included Divvy Cube dry bag mounts easily to handlebars, a rack, or a frame. Inside, the tapered floor offers 20.3 sq ft of space with a 40 in peak height, while the single vestibule adds 10.0 sq ft of covered gear storage. The Landing Zone waterproof storage tub and Nightlight Pocket round out a well-considered feature set. Fly and floor materials carry bluesign approval.

What people are saying

Reviewers consistently praise the NEMO Dragonfly OSMO Bikepack 1P for its purpose-built design: short-segment poles that fit neatly across handlebars, a quick and intuitive setup, and impressive interior space and headroom for a solo tent. The OSMO fabric earns credit for holding tension well and offering strong water repellency without PFAS chemicals. The Landing Zone vestibule tub, which keeps muddy gear off the sleep area, is frequently called a genuine innovation rather than a gimmick. The most common criticisms center on weather resistance, with reviewers noting the tent handles light rain well but is not ideal for serious storms, and the thin fabric can catch in zippers. Some users also flag that the steep-walled architecture performs poorly in high winds. The premium price is a recurring concern, and a few buyers feel the fabric quality of newer versions feels thinner than expected, with the footprint becoming a near-necessity rather than a true optional add-on.
