About this product
The Osprey Solden Pro Avalanche Airbag Pack 32L is a travel-ready backcountry pack built around the included Alpride E2 electronic avalanche airbag unit. The main body uses bluesign-approved NanoFly 100D Recycled Robic Nylon reinforced with an ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene grid, while the base is constructed from more robust 420D Robic HD Nylon. Total pack volume is 34L (2,075 cu in), reduced to a usable 32L (1,953 cu in) with the Alpride unit installed. The pack weighs 3.50 lb (1.60 kg) on its own, with a combined total weight of 6.35 lb (2.88 kg) including the 2.82 lb (1.28 kg) Alpride unit. Dimensions measure 22 x 13 x 11 inches (56 x 32 x 27 cm). A front panel J-zip opens to a dedicated avalanche safety pocket with shovel handle and probe sleeves, while a large U-zip provides access to the main compartment. Additional features include GPS and radio internal carry, mic harness attachment points, A-frame and diagonal ski carry, vertical snowboard carry, dual-position helmet carry, ice tool sleeve, sled carry loops, and a zippered hipbelt pocket.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Osprey Solden Pro 32L for its exceptional carrying comfort and ergonomics, with many noting that Osprey's pack-building expertise sets it apart from competitors in the airbag category. The Alpride electronic supercapacitor system earns strong approval for its travel-friendly nature, ability to practice deployments at no cost, and freedom from temperature constraints. The pack's thoughtful organization, dedicated safety gear pocket, and low-profile shape for a 32L are also frequently highlighted. The most common criticisms center on its high price point, weight compared to some rival airbag packs, and the limited five-year warranty (tied to the Alpride system). Some users note the lack of a hydration sleeve and limited internal organization for those wanting more pockets. A few reviewers flag that 32L may fall short for bigger multi-day missions.
