About this product
The Peak Skis Peak 98 By Dav is a 168 cm all-mountain ski designed in collaboration with skier Chris Davenport, built for riders who venture both within and beyond resort boundaries. It shares the same molds as the heavier "Bode" version but achieves a lighter feel by incorporating more Paulownia and less Titanal in its Paulownia and Ash wood core construction. Titanal laminates still contribute meaningful power and stability, while full ABS sidewalls add edge-to-edge durability. The rocker-camber-rocker profile balances float in variable conditions with reliable grip on firmer snow. A sintered base rounds out the build for solid glide performance. Made in Slovenia, this ski suits lighter skiers or those seeking a nimble hybrid setup without giving up the precision and drive expected from a capable all-mountain design. A portion of proceeds supports former Peak employees Chris Davenport and Michelle Parker. Brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width is recommended for binding compatibility.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Peak 98 by Dav for its impressive balance of light weight and on-snow stability, a combination that is difficult to achieve in all-mountain skis. The reduced Titanal construction makes it noticeably easier to carry on resort hikes and backcountry missions, while still performing well in bumps, crud, powder, and on groomers. Expert testers highlight its versatility and nimble feel, and it earned an Editor's Choice award in the Women's Shred category. The most common criticism is limited length options, with wide gaps between sizes making it hard for some skiers to find an ideal fit. A minority of skiers feel the lighter build gives up some edge hold and raw power compared to the heavier Bode version, making it less ideal for aggressive hardpack charging.
