About this product
The Salomon Escape 68 Outback Flat is a waxless backcountry ski built for off-track touring, suited to skiers who want to venture beyond groomed trails. The ski features a wood core reinforced with plastic and wrapped in fiberglass, resulting in a construction that balances light weight (2.09 kg per ski) with meaningful stiffness. At 210 cm, this size is recommended for skiers in the 90 to 110 kg range, and the ski's dimensions measure 68 mm at the tip, 65 mm at the waist, and 60 mm at the tail, providing a stable platform on varied terrain. Full metal edges deliver reliable grip on icy or uneven surfaces, while the waxless G1 base uses Posigrip technology with embossed fish-scale patterning for traction on the kick. The structural cap construction keeps the overall profile manageable for control during descents. Bindings are not included. Made in Czechia.
