About this product

The Salomon Escape Poles are a dependable all-mountain option built around a tapered composite shaft that measures 16mm at the top and narrows to 11mm near the tip, striking a balance between stiffness and reduced swing weight. The EVA Escape grip is comfortable to hold across long days on the mountain, while the Powerstrap is designed for easy adjustment and a precise, secure fit that supports better pole control. A larger powder basket is included, offering added floatation in soft snow and sized specifically to suit the 11mm diameter tip. The poles are finished to coordinate with Salomon ski graphics, making them a natural visual companion to matching skis in the lineup. Overall, the construction prioritizes straightforward reliability and durability, making these poles a practical choice for skiers who want a no-fuss, well-matched setup. Available in a 135cm length (part number L40875300).

What people are saying

Reviewers consistently praise the Salomon Escape Poles for their notably light weight, with users highlighting how easy they are to handle on long touring days. The comfortable EVA foam grip and adjustable strap are frequently called out as standout features, and the all-conditions touring basket earns approval for performing well across groomed tracks and softer snow. The composite shaft is generally seen as a solid value for recreational and beginner-to-intermediate skiers. The most common criticism centers on durability, with some users reporting that the shaft can bend under relatively light use, which is a surprise given the Salomon brand reputation. A few buyers also noted shipping issues, such as poles arriving without baskets.
