About this product

The Salomon S/Race Carbon Skate ProLink is a high-performance unisex cross-country skate boot built around Salomon's exclusive Carbon Loaded shell, which delivers up to 20% greater flexion and torsion stiffness compared to standard carbon constructions. This added rigidity, achieved through more anatomically complex shaping near the shin and calf, translates directly into efficient power transfer at every stride. SensiFit Race technology positions laces directly on the Carbon Loaded shell to hold the liner and foot precisely in place, while the 100 Racing Fit last maximizes foothold and precision. The fully thermo-formable Custom Fit Lab liner adapts to the heel, ankle, and toe areas for a personalized fit, and its 3D pre-shaped construction reduces pressure points around the ankle and heel. The CLIMASalomon WP membrane provides waterproofing tested at 100,000 mm on the Schmerber scale, and the boot is entirely PVC-free. The PROLINK Racing skate outsole features a low-profile, bi-material design optimized for power transfer and torsional rigidity on snow.

What people are saying

Reviewers consistently praise the Salomon S/Race Carbon Skate ProLink for its exceptional power transfer and stiffness, crediting the Carbon Loaded shell with delivering a noticeably efficient, seamless connection between foot and ski. The thermo-formable Custom Fit liner and SensiFit Race system earn repeated compliments for all-day comfort and a precise, secure fit. The Quicklace system with waterproof zipper is highlighted as a practical convenience, especially in cold conditions. The boot is widely regarded as the best value step below the flagship S/Lab model. The most common criticism is fit: some users find the last runs narrow, and several note the boot did not suit their foot shape, suggesting it favors a narrower, more "Nordic" foot profile.
