About this product
The Salomon S/Race Carbon Skate ProLink boot is a performance-oriented cross-country skating boot built around Salomon's Carbon Loaded shell, which delivers up to 20% greater flexion and torsion stiffness compared to standard carbon constructions. This added rigidity, shaped closer to the shin and calf for anatomic precision, translates directly into maximum power transfer at every skating stride. The SensiFit Race lacing system runs directly on the shell, working alongside Salomon's Quicklace one-pull system with Kevlar laces and polygliding hooks to create a precise, secure foot wrap. Inside, a fully thermo-formable Custom Fit Lab liner with a 3D pre-shaped construction conforms to the heel, ankle, and toe for immediate pressure-point relief. The CLIMASalomon WP membrane provides waterproofing rated at 100,000 mm on the Schmerber scale, and the boot is entirely PVC-free. The PROLINK Racing skate outsole uses a bi-material composition for abrasion resistance and torsional rigidity, with a low profile for enhanced snow feel. Available in Black and Process Blue (SKU L41158300), sized in U.K. sizing.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Salomon S/Race Carbon Skate ProLink for its excellent power transfer and responsive, stiff feel that stops short of being race-only demanding, making it well suited for both training and endurance sessions. The thermo-formable liner, SensiFit lacing, and carbon-loaded shell earn repeated compliments for delivering a precise, second-skin fit with strong ankle support. Waterproofing via the ClimaSalomon membrane is also noted as a genuine strength. The most common complaint centers on sizing: the fit runs intentionally tight, and skiers between sizes are widely advised to size up. Some users with wider feet note the last can feel narrow, though it is described as slightly roomier than the top-tier S/Lab model.
