About this product
The Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL1 Bikepack is a freestanding, 3-season, 1-person tent purpose-built for bikepacking. It weighs 907 g (packed weight 2 lb 13 oz) and packs down to a compact 6 x 13.5 in, thanks in part to the DAC Featherlite NSL Shortstik poleset, which measures just 12 in and fits neatly onto handlebars, panniers, or a saddlebag. The included compression sack features integrated daisy chain webbing so it attaches directly to the bike, and exterior daisy chain loops on the fly let you air out wet gear overnight. Setup is simplified by the TipLok Buckle, which combines pole capture, fly attachment, and tensioning in one component. The double-wall construction uses a silicone and PU-coated nylon ripstop fly and floor (1200 mm waterproof rating, fully seam-sealed) with a polyester mesh body for ventilation. The single awning-style vestibule adds 9 sq ft of covered storage and a dry zone for changing, while the 20 sq ft floor (88 x 38 to 28 in) and 38 in interior height provide generous living space. A 3D interior shelf makes use of dead space above the feet. The footprint and gear loft are sold separately. Backed by a lifetime manufacturer warranty.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Copper Spur HV UL1 Bikepack for delivering a surprisingly spacious, livable interior in a genuinely ultralight package. The freestanding double "Y" pole design earns particular acclaim, as it is the only tent in the Bikepack series to offer full freestanding capability, making setup easier on varied terrain. The bikepacking-specific stuff sack with daisy-chain webbing and shortened 12-inch pole segments are widely appreciated for fitting neatly onto handlebars or in saddlebags. The most common criticisms center on the steep price point, which many find hard to justify for a solo shelter, and concerns about fragile rainfly zippers that require careful handling over time. A few users also note the stuff sack attachment system could be more refined for real-world bikepacking use.
