About this product
The Black Diamond Impulse 112 Ti is a freeride and powder ski built for advanced to expert skiers who pursue steep lines and deep snow without sacrificing control on the way out. Its 112mm waist, measured across a 139/112/126mm sidecut, provides reliable float in storm snow and soft chop, while a rocker/camber/rocker profile keeps the tip and tail surfy in tight trees and chutes and the cambered midsection precise on tracked-out bowls and groomed runouts. A titanal laminate layer works alongside a pre-preg fiberglass layup to dampen vibration and maintain edge grip at speed through crud and steeps. The engineered poplar core contributes lively rebound between turns, and full ABS sidewalls in a sandwich construction improve torsional stiffness and drive energy cleanly to the steel edges. The sintered UHMW P-tex base holds speed across traverses. Available in 181cm and 186cm lengths, with turn radii of 20m and 21m respectively, and a claimed weight of roughly 4060g to 4160g per ski. A limited two-year manufacturer warranty is included.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Black Diamond Impulse 112 Ti for exceptional powder float, high-speed stability, and a surprisingly nimble feel given its 112mm waist, with many noting it skis narrower than its dimensions suggest. The Titanal sheet earns repeated credit for dampening vibrations and inspiring confidence on steep, variable terrain. Users and experts agree it is a dedicated storm-day charger best suited to advanced and expert skiers. The most common criticisms center on its heavier weight (around 2,030 grams per ski), only two available lengths (181 and 186 cm), and a stiff, demanding character that makes it less forgiving and less versatile for intermediates or groomer-focused days.
