About this product

The Burton Hideaway is a women's all-mountain snowboard built around a directional shape with a slightly longer nose than tail, channeling pop into the tail for reliable float, flow, and control across varied terrain and conditions. A 5mm taper encourages easy turning and gives the board a directional feel while still allowing it to be ridden like a twin, complemented by a symmetrical Twin Flex that performs equally well regular or switch. The Flat Top Bend profile delivers stability, continuous edge control, and a catch-free ride by letting the tip and tail kick up naturally. Construction centers on the Super Fly 800G Core, a dual-species wood core that alternates hard and soft woods for pop without excess weight, reinforced by Dualzone EGD wood grain running perpendicular along the toe and heel edges for added response and strength. Biax Fiberglass layering keeps the flex torsionally soft and forgiving, suiting newer riders and park sessions alike. The low-maintenance Extruded Base adds durability and speed, while The Channel mounting system accommodates all major bindings and is backed by a three-year warranty.

What people are saying

Reviewers consistently praise the Burton Hideaway Women's for its predictable, confidence-inspiring ride, calling it one of the best entry-level options on the market. The Flat Top profile earns repeated credit for being catch-free and forgiving, making turn initiation easy without the intimidation of a full camber board. The soft but balanced flex is widely noted as a highlight, feeling playful yet responsive underfoot. The sintered base and women's-specific layup also draw positive mentions. The most common criticism is that the board has a limited ceiling: reviewers and comparison guides agree that intermediate-to-advanced riders will outgrow it quickly, and edge hold is a noted trade-off of the flat profile. It is not considered a fast or high-performance board.
