About this product
The K2 Recon 90 MV is an alpine ski boot designed for intermediate to advanced skiers seeking a balanced blend of control and comfort. Built around a 100mm last, it offers a performance medium fit suited to normal-width, normal-volume feet. The flex index of 90 provides a moderate response that is forgiving enough for progressing skiers while still delivering reliable power transmission on varied terrain. The LuxFit Pro liner is pre-molded and lasted with Ultralon heat-moldable foam, featuring an asymmetric tongue, a high-density power collar, and a flex notch to improve range of motion during hiking. Four aluminum micro-adjustable buckles and a 40mm Velcro power strap secure the fit precisely. Dual cuff alignment allows plus or minus 2 degrees of cuff adjustment, and cantable outsoles with interchangeable shims let skiers fine-tune their stance angle. GripWalk ISO 9523 rockered outsoles come preinstalled, improving grip and walking comfort without compromising on-snow release function. The boot carries a one-year warranty.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the K2 Recon 90 MV for its impressive out-of-the-box comfort, with the heat-moldable LuxFit Pro liner and 100mm medium-volume last earning particular appreciation for accommodating a wide range of foot shapes. The lightweight Powerlite shell is a recurring highlight, delivering a nimble, energetic feel on the slopes without the bulk of heavier boots. GripWalk outsoles and the FastFit entry system are also well-regarded for everyday convenience. On the downside, the most common criticism is that the 90 flex can feel soft and lacking in power transmission for stronger or more aggressive skiers, and some reviewers note the fit can run slightly roomy in the toe box. Cold-weather insulation is also flagged as a minor concern, with the thin shell contributing to cold feet on frigid days.
