About this product
The L.L.Bean Adventure 30° Double Sleeping Bag is a roomy two-person bag designed to accommodate a wide range of sleepers, whether they prefer sleeping on their side, back, or stomach. Measuring 82 by 54 inches and fitting sleepers up to 6 feet 6 inches tall, it offers genuine space to roll and stretch out. The shell and liner are constructed from soft, durable polyester ripstop, while the interior lining has a notably smooth, soft feel. Cozy polyester insulation keeps the bag rated to 30 degrees. An integrated sleeping pad sleeve runs the full length of the bag, accepting either two 25-inch-wide pads or a single 50-inch-wide pad (each up to 78 inches long), preventing sleepers from rolling off during the night. A full zipper around the foot box allows ventilation or extra legroom. The bag packs flat into an included zip-top stuff sack (32 by 18 by 6 inches) and weighs 7 pounds 12 ounces (approximately 3,175 grams). Care requires a large commercial washing machine.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the L.L.Bean Adventure 30° Double Sleeping Bag for its generous roominess, noting it comfortably fits two adults with space to move around. The soft lining is a recurring highlight, with users describing it as exceptionally cozy. Practical design features also earn consistent praise, particularly the foot kickout zipper for ventilation, the integrated sleeping pad sleeve to prevent rolling off, and the oversized hood that fits a full pillow. The bag is well-regarded for car camping and casual use. The most common criticisms are its bulk and weight (nearly 8 lbs), making it impractical for backpacking, and some users find the 30° rating optimistic, reporting they needed extra layers in temperatures near the rating. Zipper smoothness has also been flagged as a minor issue by a few buyers.
