About this product
The Marmot Tungsten 3-Person 3-Season tent is a double-wall freestanding shelter built for camping and backpacking with a full group. Its Zone construction pushes the walls toward vertical, making the most of the 41.3 square feet of floor space (66 by 90 inches) and 46-inch peak height, so sitting up and moving around inside feels comfortable rather than cramped. The canopy combines 68D polyester taffeta with 40D no-see-um mesh for ventilation and insect protection, while the 68D polyester taffeta fly carries a 1800mm waterproof rating and fully taped seams to handle genuine rain. The 70D polyester taffeta floor (2000mm) adds a further layer of weather resistance, and a footprint is included in the box. Three HD Velocity 7000-series aluminum poles attach via color-coded Easy Pitch clips for straightforward setup. Two doors and two vestibules (11 and 7.5 square feet respectively) give each occupant independent entry and covered gear storage. A Lamp Shade pocket positions a headlamp to cast ambient light across the interior, and additional interior pockets keep small items organized. Packed weight is 6 pounds 4.5 ounces at a packed size of 22.5 by 8 inches, and the tent carries a lifetime manufacturer warranty.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Marmot Tungsten 3P for its generous interior space, vertical sidewalls, and two D-shaped doors with vestibules that make it feel roomy for two people and a dog. The color-coded Easy Pitch clip system and quick, intuitive setup are frequently highlighted as standout features. Weather protection in typical three-season rain and moderate wind earns strong marks, and users appreciate the included footprint. The most common complaints center on weight (nearly 6 lbs packed), which makes it a better fit for car camping or short trips than serious backpacking. Reviewers also note that the tent comfortably sleeps two adults rather than the labeled three, and some flag limited airflow in hot conditions and insufficient stakes included in the box.
