About this product
The MSR Hubba Hubba LT 2-Person Tent is a freestanding 3-season backpacking tent built around a packed weight of 1.54 kg (minimum weight 1.36 kg) and a compact packed size of 51 x 14 cm. The tent sleeps two across a 2.95 sq. m floor area measuring 2.24 m long by 1.32 m wide, with an interior peak height of 1.02 m. Both the fly and floor are constructed from 20-denier nylon ripstop with an ether-type polyurethane coating rated to 1800mm hydrostatic head, and all seams are factory taped for reliable rain protection. DAC Featherlite NFL poles provide a strong, lightweight structure suited to variable conditions. Two StayDry doors and two vestibules (each 0.74 sq. m) with rain gutters allow easy entry without channeling water inside. A PFAS-free DWR treatment and solution-dyed fabrics reflect a lower-impact manufacturing process. Additional practical touches include a kickstand vent, gear loft, clothesline, cable ports, Mini Groundhog stakes, and reflective guylines. Fly-and-footprint setup is also supported for a lighter carry.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the MSR Hubba Hubba LT 2 for its generous interior space, thanks to a true rectangular floor and wide peak height that comfortably fits two adults with full-size sleeping pads. Its fast, intuitive freestanding setup, solid build quality, and thoughtful details (rain gutters on vestibule doors, a practical roll-top stuff sack, and two doors for easy nighttime exits) earn frequent compliments. Weather protection is considered reliable for three-season use. The most common criticisms center on price, with many users calling it expensive relative to lighter competitors, and some note the vestibules could be larger. A few Reddit users also flag that the lighter fabric requires care around abrasion, and condensation management in wet conditions depends heavily on proper venting and site selection.
