About this product
The Rab Alpine 200 is a duck down sleeping bag designed for spring and summer mountain use, offering a practical balance of warmth, comfort, and low weight in a tapered mummy shape. The shell is constructed from 100% woven nylon, specifically Pertex Quantum fabric incorporating recycled nylon, while the down fill is distributed using a chevron baffle design across the upper torso to minimize migration and concentrate warmth where it matters most. A 3-dimensional synthetic-filled neck collar and a YKK three-quarter-length main zip with a synthetic-filled baffle work together to retain heat effectively. An anti-snag zip insert and internal zip guard add durability to daily use. The angled foot box accommodates a natural sleeping posture, and a YKK-zipped internal stash pocket provides secure storage for small essentials. Each bag is hand-filled at Rab's facility in Derbyshire, United Kingdom. The package includes both a drawcord stuffsack for the trail and a zipped storage sack with a water-resistant base for home storage. Available in Firecracker colorway (SKU: QSD-26).

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Rab Alpine 200 for its strong warmth-to-weight ratio, compact pack size, and solid build quality at a competitive price point. The Pertex Quantum shell, Nikwax hydrophobic down treatment, and trapezoid boxwall baffle construction are frequently highlighted as standout features that keep the bag performing well even in damp conditions. The 3D down collar, chevron baffles, and angled footbox earn appreciation for thoughtful thermal design. The most common criticism centers on the narrow mummy cut, which cold sleepers or broader users may find restrictive, and some note that the 650FP duck down (versus higher-fill goose down alternatives) limits warmth relative to more premium options at a similar weight. The bag is widely regarded as a good-value summer and alpine season choice, but users caution it runs cool near its rated limit temperature.
