About this product
The Rab Neutrino Pro 300 is a tapered mummy sleeping bag engineered for fast and light mountaineering and trekking where nights can turn cold. It carries a Rab sleep limit of -4°C (25°F), with ISO EN 13537 ratings of 4°C comfort, -1°C limit, and -17°C extreme. The 300 g (10.6 oz) fill of 800-fill-power European goose down is treated with a Nikwax fluorocarbon-free hydrophobic finish to resist moisture in damp conditions. Chevron-shaped baffles reduce fabric use compared to traditional horizontal baffles while minimizing down migration, and the trapezoidal boxwall construction with differential cut allows the down to fully loft and eliminates cold spots. The outer shell is 20D Pertex Quantum Pro recycled nylon ripstop (40 gsm) with a fluorocarbon-free DWR coating, while the lining uses 20D recycled nylon (38 gsm). A YKK three-quarter-length zip features a synthetic-filled baffle, and an adjustable hood with elasticated drawcord helps seal in warmth. Packed size is 30 cm x 20 cm (11.8 in x 7.9 in), and the bag is hand-filled in Derbyshire, UK. A waterproof roll-top compression sack and a zipped storage sack are included.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Rab Neutrino Pro 300 for its impressive warmth-to-weight ratio, crediting the 800-fill-power hydrophobic goose down and Pertex Quantum Pro shell with delivering reliable protection on fast-and-light alpine missions. The chevron baffle construction earns particular appreciation for eliminating cold spots and maximizing loft. The Pertex Quantum Pro outer is widely noted for handling condensation, light moisture, and wind better than standard down bag shells, making it well suited to exposed bivy situations. The most common criticism is the highly tapered mummy cut, which some find restrictive for side sleepers or those who move around at night. Reviewers also note the bag is purpose-specific, best suited to spring and summer mountain use rather than as a versatile three-season option, and the premium price point is frequently flagged as a consideration.
