About this product

The Völkl Secret 102 is a women's freeride ski built for experienced and expert riders who spend most of their time off-piste, in the backcountry, or navigating rough terrain. Its 102mm waist width delivers strong powder floatation, while the Tip and Tail Rocker profile enhances turn initiation and lift in deep snow. New this season, Tailored Carbon Tips and a Tailored Titanal Frame (two metal layers) work together to sharpen agility and precision across variable conditions, from soft powder to harder off-piste slopes. The 3D Radius Sidecut broadens the ski's versatility, supporting both long-turn dynamics and reliable edge hold on firm snow. Construction centers on a Multilayer Woodcore of beech and poplar, paired with a Full Sidewall for solid energy transfer. The base is P-Tex 2100, edges are tuned to 1.4 degrees and 87.6 degrees, and the drill diameter is 4.1 by 9.5mm. Made in Germany, this ski is rated for ambitious through professional ability levels.

What people are saying

Reviewers consistently praise the Völkl Secret 102 for exceptional stability at speed, impressive hard-snow and crud performance, and outstanding versatility across all mountain terrain, including groomers, bumps, and off-piste. Its Titanal frame and multilayer wood core earn repeated credit for dampness and confidence-inspiring edge hold. The most common criticism is its demanding, unforgiving nature: it is one of the heaviest women's skis in its class, and lighter or less aggressive skiers may struggle to unlock its full potential. Reviewers agree it is best suited to expert, high-energy women who ski fast and charge hard, and is not recommended for those seeking a playful or forgiving ride.
