About this product
The Völkl Secret 102 is a women's freeride ski built for experienced to expert riders who spend most of their time off-piste, in the backcountry, or navigating rough terrain. Its 102mm waist width delivers strong powder floatation, while the Tip and Tail Rocker profile enhances turn initiation and lift in deep snow. New this season, Tailored Carbon Tips and a Tailored Titanal Frame (two metal layers) work together to sharpen agility and precision across variable conditions, from soft powder to harder off-piste slopes. The 3D Radius Sidecut allows the ski to handle both long, dynamic arcs and shorter, more agile turns with considerable reliability on hard snow. Construction centers on a Multilayer Woodcore of beech and poplar, paired with a Full Sidewall for solid edge-to-edge power transfer. The base is P-Tex 2100, edges are tuned to 1.4 degrees base and 87.6 degrees side, and the ski is manufactured in Germany. Priced at 529.19 CAD, it suits ambitious through professional-level women seeking a capable, all-condition freeride platform.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Völkl Secret 102 for exceptional stability at speed, outstanding crud and hard-snow performance, and impressive versatility across groomed runs, bumps, and off-piste terrain. Its Titanal frame and multilayer wood core construction earn repeated credit for dampness and edge grip that few women's skis can match. The 2023-2024 update, adding Tailored Carbon Tips and a revised Titanal Frame, is noted as making turn initiation smoother and the ski more forgiving than earlier versions without sacrificing power. The most common criticism is its significant weight, which makes it physically demanding and best suited to strong, aggressive skiers. Lighter or less experienced skiers are frequently cautioned that this ski requires commitment and a forward stance to unlock its potential.
