About this product
The Head Kore 130 LV GW is a freeride ski boot built for expert skiers who demand race-inspired downhill performance alongside backcountry versatility. Its PU/SL shell is constructed with LYT Tech engineering, which reduces overall weight while maintaining strong power transmission. The boot's hike/ski mechanism allows free movement on the ascent and locks the cuff firmly to the shell for precise control on the descent. Ergo Balance geometry is set to a 12-degree forward lean and a 4-degree ramp angle, tuned for an aggressive, race-forward stance. The FR 1800cc last and 98-mm Kore Pro Perfect Fit liner from the Formula series provide a close, responsive fit, while Superleggera buckles and a 53 mm power strap add secure closure. PrimaLoft insulation and Graphene reinforcement round out the construction. GripWalk soles and integrated Dynafit tech inserts make the boot compatible with touring bindings, extending its usefulness beyond the resort. Flex is rated at 130.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Head Kore 130 LV GW for its powerful, race-inspired downhill performance, with the stiff 130 flex and narrow 98mm last delivering exceptional edge control and heel lockdown for aggressive expert skiers. The updated PU shell construction is noted for improved damping and vibration control compared to the previous generation, and the reworked ski/hike mechanism earns credit for a genuinely useful 53-degree range of motion. The Formula-series liner molds well and feels connected after break-in. The most common criticism is that the boot requires a proper setup period, as fit and flex feel can take several days and heat molding to dial in. Reviewers are unanimous that the narrow last makes this a poor choice for wider or higher-volume feet, and it is not recommended for those prioritizing lightweight touring over downhill performance.
