About this product
The Head Kore 130 LV GW is a high-performance ski boot built for expert-level freeride skiing, combining race-inspired downhill capability with backcountry-friendly versatility. Its 130 flex rating delivers powerful energy transmission, while the LYT Tech construction uses graphene-reinforced PU/SL shell material to reduce weight without sacrificing responsiveness. The ski/hike mechanism allows free movement on the ascent and locks back into a firm connection between cuff and shell for the descent, supported by a 53mm power strap. Geometry is tuned to a race-forward 12-degree forward lean and a 4-degree ramp angle for an aggressive, precise stance. The FR 1800cc last accommodates a lower-volume fit, and the 98mm Kore Pro Perfect Fit liner from the Formula series provides a tailored, comfortable interior. Superleggera buckles and a foam wedge round out the fit system. GripWalk soles improve walkability on varied terrain, and Dynafit tech inserts add compatibility with touring bindings. PrimaLoft insulation and rear support tuning complete the package.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Kore 130 LV GW for its exceptional downhill performance, describing it as delivering race-boot precision and powerful edge control thanks to its stiff 130 flex and narrow 98mm last. The updated PU shell construction earns credit for a smoother, more damped flex compared to the previous generation, and the reworked ski/hike mechanism with roughly 53 degrees of range of motion is well regarded for a boot in this performance category. The Formula-series-derived liner is noted for a more precise, connected feel. The most consistent criticism is that the narrow, low-volume fit makes it unsuitable for anyone with average or wide feet, and it is not recommended for skiers seeking a true lightweight touring boot, as it skews firmly toward downhill performance over uphill efficiency.
