About this product
The Salomon Shift Alpha Boa 115 W is a women's alpine touring ski boot designed to handle both the uphill and the descent without meaningful compromise. The polyurethane shell delivers consistent flex and reliable power transmission, while a polyolefin cuff keeps overall weight manageable. A BOA Fit System paired with the Exobelt closure locks the heel securely in place, and the FreeSpine bar connects cuff to shell for progressive, powerful flex that still allows touring mobility. The PowerWedge insert improves range of motion on the skin track and stiffens the boot for downhill performance, complemented by the Twinlock system for a smooth touring stride and a secure ski mode. Inside, the Freeride 4D Pro liner and Custom Shell HD thermomoldable construction shape to the foot for a precise, comfortable fit, while a customizable tongue adjusts instep height and padding. The Sensitive 2 footbed supports alignment and edge precision. Tech inserts allow compatibility with pin bindings, and GripWalk-ready full rubber soles ease transitions on icy bootpacks. Available in Ultra Violet/Black/Black.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Salomon Shift Alpha Boa 115 W for its exceptionally free and natural walk mode, with testers noting an impressive forward range of motion that makes uphill travel feel effortless. Downhill performance earns strong marks too, with a progressive flex that ramps up with aggression, delivering confident power transfer and control on varied terrain both in the backcountry and at the resort. The BOA closure system and ExoBelt are highlighted for locking in the heel and enabling precise, micro-adjustable fit. The most common caveat is the truly narrow 98mm last, which runs tighter than other boots claiming the same width, making it a poor match for wider feet out of the box. Reviewers also note a fit mismatch between the snug lower shell and a comparatively roomier cuff. Heat molding the shell is widely recommended to resolve forefoot tightness. Compared to rivals like the Atomic Hawx Ultra XTD 115, it is seen as slightly less powerful but more forgiving and plush.
