The Salomon QST X is a freeride ski built around a 106mm verified waist width, available in 173, 181, and 189 cm lengths, and designed to handle everything from deep powder to variable spring snow. Its lightweight karuba and poplar wood core keeps the ski lively and responsive without adding unnecessary weight, while flax carbon, basalt, and fiberglass layers contribute stability and torsional strength. Cork Damplifiers in both the tip and tail absorb chatter and reduce vibration, smoothing out rough or inconsistent snow conditions throughout the day. A twin-tip shape with twin rocker geometry encourages a surfy, playful feel in deep snow while still allowing confident carving when terrain firms up. Double Sidewall Technology places extra ABS material underfoot, sharpening edge hold on hardpack and variable surfaces, and the sidewalls themselves are made from recycled materials. Sandwich construction rounds out the build with precise, durable response across a medium-to-long turn radius suited to open, high-speed terrain.
