About this product
The Salomon Shelter Waterproof Boot is a women's winter lifestyle boot built around a seamless softshell upper that delivers out-of-the-box comfort and solid durability. The ClimaSalomon waterproof-breathable membrane, paired with a gusseted tongue, keeps moisture and snow from entering, while the softshell construction provides a degree of insulation suited to an active temperature rating of -15 degrees Celsius. Breathability scores well for a waterproof boot, making it practical for sustained wear during commutes or everyday cold-weather errands. Underfoot, an injected EVA midsole with a moulded shank offers cushioned support, and a removable OrthoLite insole adds further comfort. The non-marking Winter Contagrip rubber compound on the outsole is formulated specifically for traction on slippery and icy surfaces. A protective mud guard, heel cap, and rubber toecap round out the construction with scuff resistance. The boot comes in a Plum Kitten, Phantom, and Desert colorway.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Salomon Shelter Waterproof Boot for its reliable warmth, effective waterproofing, and lightweight feel in winter conditions. Users highlight that feet stay dry and toasty across a wide temperature range, and the Winter Contagrip outsole earns repeated compliments for grip on snow and rough terrain. The sleek, athletic styling is also noted as a plus for both urban and resort use. The most common complaint is the narrow fit, with some users noting the toe box can feel restrictive and that the boot may require a break-in period around the heel collar. Wide-footed buyers are advised to try before purchasing or size up.
